Peanuts
The peanuts have a particularity: it’s the only dried fruit that is growing underground; in fact it is not a fruit but a legume. It is cultivated all over the tropical zone. It is normally used toasted or for the production of vegetable oil, margarine, paper, shaving cream, explosive.. ecc).
The most important producer are India, china, U.S.A, Egypt, Israel. Qualitative aspect are the calibre, measured in how many pieces there are per ounce (for example 6/8, 7/9, 8/10..), the colour and homogeneity of shell and naturally their freshness. Very important for the fresh fruit is (not toasted) its storage in controlled environments at guarantee temperatures, while for the toasted products the most important thing is the time between the toasting and the consume. In fact the company prefer to toasted the product only after the customer demand, so we have always a fresh product that maintain all the most important toasted aroma characteristics.
