Almonds

It is a fruit that we can found normally on our table, in a cake or a dessert but it is used also in cosmetic or in the special diets (like almonds milk). The European almonds are very tasty but have irregular forms and are graded according to their size. Those from overseas are less tasty but have regular forms and the calibre is made in how many pieces per ounce. We can found almonds in shell, shelled, blanched, blanche thin sliced, blanched ground (meal), toasted salted.
The plant origin is central Asia but we can found on the Mediterranean zone (Spain, Italy and Greece) but the most important producer is California.
The seed in high in fibers, oil and mineral elements (potassium and magnesium).
