Walnuts
The walnut-tree can reach the height of 20 meters. The biggest producer in the world is California and made a mechanical harvest. Other producers are China, France, Turkey and Italy. After the harvest follows the drying, the washing and sorting. The calibre is based on the total diameter in millimetres: 28-30, 30-32 more then 32. We can found many species of walnuts. In Italy we use the Sorrento and from USA we have the Eureka, Serr or Hartley. Walnuts are used like a complement for the cookery ( for salad or cake) but they are known like a fruit very rich of unsaturated fat helpful for our body.
